I am an artist above all else; I find beauty in concepts, architecture, colors, shape, and form. Through this beauty comes concepts and designs. I want to take the abstract and create elegance in fashion, as Coco Chanel had said: “A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” Not only do I live with this rule in my life, but in my designs as well.
I had a professor once tell me never to design something I would wear; but as a designer and consumer, why would I not want to create clothing that would suit the needs of myself and others around me? My goal as a designer in the fashion world is to develop the trends of fashion to further help the needs of our bodies, minds, and environments. Fashion should help you embrace the person you want to be, with the addition of pockets. A woman could never have enough pockets.
